The Chesebro Road exit is in close proximity to an exciting project designed to ensure our wildlife can safely pass over the 101 freeway.
The Liberty Canyon Wildlife Corridor will help us save our mountain lion (puma) populations in the Santa Monica Mountains. This will be the world's largest wildlife crossing! #SAVELACOUGARS
Kathi was chosen by Bett Pratt, Director of the National Wildlife Federation, to paint the tagged pumas in our area. The proceeds of her puma prints will be donated to the wildlife crossing project. She also received a Certificate of Recognition from Senator Henry Stern for her volunteer efforts in protecting our area pumas.
"P-22 The Journey" is the story of P-22, the mountain lion that resides in Griffith Park. Against all the odds, P-22 crossed two of the busiest freeways (101 and 405 Freeways). P-22 is quite famous, and his journey is remarkable.
The book was created solely to support the #SaveLACougars campaign's fundraising for the critically-needed wildlife over crossing at Liberty Canyon/101 freeway. Without it, our local wildlife may not survive.
"Selected as 'Book Of The Year' by the City of Agoura Hills. The volunteer co-authors and artist are proud to share the news that the sales of this book quickly raised $5,000 for the campaign in just the first three months! Every purchase is meaningful."
